Competition 2012 Rules:
1. The Duologue/Script must be no longer than 3 minutes in length when read/performed. All Duologues/Scripts must be submitted in English. The Duologue/Script can be on any Theme but must NOT include swearing or obscene language – or contain material that is likely to cause offence to audiences of adults and children.
2. The Duologue/Script should clearly state which Speaker reads each line in the format: V (for Ventriloquist) in Upper and Lower case - and D (for Dummy) in UPPER CASE only. ‘Business’ and ‘Stage Directions’ should be clearly stated - in Italics - between lines of dialogue - i.e.
V: What’s Your Name?
D: CHARLIE THE DUMMY
The Ventriloquist turns Dummy’s head to stage-left
V: What are you looking at?
D: NOTHING-YOU’VE BEEN EATING ONIONS
3. 3 COPIES OF EACH SCRIPT ENTERED MUST BE PROVIDED.
Entries must be clearly typed on A4 white paper-double-sided.
The Page numbers must be clearly marked on the top of each page as the Header.
The Entrant’s Name, Telephone number and Email address must appear on each page as the Footer.
4. Entrants Agree when Submitting their Entries that these may be displayed on The Ventriloquist Club of Great Britain website – and Copies may also be displayed at The Ventriloquist Club of Great Britain Exhibition/s. Copyright remains the property of the Author. Entries are not returnable by post – Please ensure you retain a copy of your Duologue/Script Entry/ies.
5. An Acknowledgement/Receipt Will Be Sent By Email Upon Receipt of Entry/ies. Entries are accepted by Post Only - No Entries may be sent by email.
6. Entrants may submit up to 3 Duologues/Scripts for consideration. All Entries must be accompanied by a completed Competition Entry Form and the entry fee by personal cheque only, payable to LK Robinson (Coordinator of The Ventriloquist Club of Great Britain) as follows:
